Does teaching bring freedom?  What if there is teaching, and when you abide by that teaching, that brings freedom? This week in our second part of our series on the path of following Jesus, we will look at how Jesus said that holding to his teaching leads on a path to freedom. Where in your life do you feel trapped or held back, and how might learning from Jesus set you free?

September 3, 2023 - The Path: Connect

Jesus said, “everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.”  We wonder if we truly embrace how true these words of Jesus are.  Jesus is saying something remarkable here.  How can we tell if someone is a follower of Jesus?  By the way they love others.  As we walk along this path of discipleship to Jesus, may we remember how important a community is, and how our love for one another makes a real impression on others.

How many of us have been at a high point, only to come crashing back to earth in spectacular fashion? If we embark on the adventure of following Jesus with our whole lives, undoubtedly we will have moments like these. Crystal-clear clarity followed by a fantastic fall from understanding.  The question is: Will we allow Jesus to correct us, and will we follow Him alone as Lord?
