Rootedness in Christ comes from knowing the worth of Christ. One huge remedy to standing firm and assured in Christ is that we don’t do it alone. In the animal kingdom, who typically gets picked off by the predator? The one who wanders from the pack. As the Colossians face their spiritual predators seeking to pick them off by deception, they will stave off these predators by being knit together with one another. They are to be like a quilt, whose individual squares have been knit together to into the fabric of one quilt.

1.28.2024 - For The Sake Of His Body

Suffering and struggle are the pathway through which Christ is revealed. Paul’s rejoicing was enabled through what his suffering was being used to produce in others, which was Christ. And because Christ was the aim of his life, he rejoiced because his sufferings were accomplishing his aim, not detracting from his aim.
